Caring and compassionate hospice services for terminally ill patients and their families

Our Commitment To Care

Harbor Light Hospice is committed to providing the highest quality of care possible by employing a team of healthcare professionals and volunteers to administer palliative and supportive care. The hospice team works to meet the medical (physical), emotional, spiritual, social, and practical needs of patients, family members, and friends when a life-limiting illness clouds the future. Hospice is unique in the healthcare system with its extended "unit of care".

The Work of Hospice

Harbor Light Hospice provides its array of services through a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Hospice works because the team works with a patient, their family and caregivers, and the patient's physician to develop a Plan of Treatment and an Interdisciplinary Plan of Care that coordinates the delivery of that care from the medicine, supplies and equipment to the Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Social Worker, Chaplain, and Volunteer visits.

Bereavement Support

To fulfill the promise of providing comfort to family members and friends, bereavement support is available for up to 13 months after the death of their loved one. We will also act as a liaison to establish further referrals if necessary for on-going bereavement issues.

Educating the Community

Harbor Light Hospice is committed to educating the community and to increasing the awareness of the hospice concept of care among medical professionals, lay persons, clergy, and those in need of this compassionate approach of care.
